Winning the Logistics Wars

Strategy for the Era Where Speed Defines Advantage

“There is a moment in every industry when speed becomes the advantage that makes all others irrelevant. Most companies miss it. I help leaders see it and move before it’s too late. Agentic AI is that moment.”

Most consulting firms help companies improve what already exists. Ladd Strategic Advisors focuses on what will exist next, and what must be built before competitors recognize the shift.

The global economy is entering a new era where competitive advantage is no longer defined by brand, scale, or even product. It is defined by logistics infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and the speed at which organizations can make and execute decisions. In this environment, companies don’t fail because they lack strategy. They fail because they move too slowly while competitors build advantages that cannot be reversed.

Brittain Ladd applies a combination of pattern recognition, applied game theory, and real-world operating experience to help leaders understand how markets will evolve—and how competitors will respond to every strategic move. This approach allows organizations to move earlier, position more effectively, and shape outcomes rather than react to them.

“I always learn important things when I read your posts, Brittain. You are among the most innovative thinkers in the business world.”

The Velocity Gap

The Velocity Gap describes the widening competitive advantage created when some companies learn, decide, and execute faster than others. Artificial intelligence, automation, and dense logistics networks accelerate velocity and create structural competitive advantages.

GRIDD

Geospatial Response to Increase Density and Demand

GRIDD is a strategic methodology designed to increase customer demand and revenue by building dense logistics infrastructure networks closer to consumers. The methodology focuses on increasing fulfillment density, reducing delivery distance, and accelerating speed to the customer.

Strategic Engagements

Velocity Gap Assessment

Identify where you stand—and how fast you’re falling behind.

We assess the gap between your company’s current capabilities and the speed required to compete in modern commerce.

What we evaluate:

  • Competitive velocity vs. industry leaders
  • Infrastructure density (distribution, fulfillment, last-mile)
  • AI readiness and orchestration capabilities
  • Decision-making speed across the enterprise

What you receive:

  • Velocity Scorecard
  • Competitive Gap Analysis
  • “Time to Irrelevance” estimate

Executive briefing with clear strategic priorities.

GRIDD Infrastructure Strategy

Design the network that drives demand, density, and dominance.

GRIDD (Geospatial Response to Increase Density and Demand) is a methodology for building infrastructure that increases customer density, accelerates delivery speed, and maximizes revenue.

What we design:

  • Distribution network strategy (MFCs, nodes, hubs)
  • Last-mile delivery architecture
  • Density expansion strategy by market
  • Capital allocation roadmap

What you receive:

  • End-to-end infrastructure blueprint
  • Market-by-market density strategy
  • Investment and rollout plan

Board-ready strategy presentation.

Control Plane Strategy (AI Orchestration)

Turn AI into a system that runs your business—not a tool.

We define how AI coordinates inventory, transportation, and fulfillment decisions across your network.

What we architect:

  • AI Control Plane design
  • Decision orchestration framework
  • Data and systems integration strategy
  • Build vs. partner vs. acquire roadmap

What you receive:

  • AI architecture blueprint
  • Execution roadmap
  • Technology and partner strategy
  • Governance model for AI-driven decisions

About Brittain Ladd

Brittain Ladd is known for identifying major business developments years before they occur. For more than a decade, he has recognized structural shifts in industries—from retail and logistics to artificial intelligence and autonomous systems—long before they became widely understood.

His work focuses on the intersection of logistics infrastructure, supply chains, artificial intelligence, and competitive strategy. Executives and investors follow his insights because of his demonstrated ability to anticipate major strategic developments before they become widely recognized.

Brittain Ladd uses game theory as a strategic lens to model how industries evolve under pressure.

Every major decision—whether it’s an acquisition, a partnership, an infrastructure investment, or an AI deployment—triggers a chain reaction across competitors, suppliers, and markets.

Attributed to the Carthaginian general, Hannibal, when he was told by one of his military commanders, that it was impossible to cross the Alps by elephant. Hannibal, his soldiers, and 37 African battle elephants, crossed the Alps from France in 218 BC to surprise the Roman Empire Army located in northern Italy.

The bronze Boxer at Rest is a haunting portrayal of a man unafraid to step into the ring to fight and bleed. Fighting isn’t what he does it’s who is he – a fighter. It is a Hellenistic Greek sculpture that was created within the period of about 330 to 50 BC. The statue was uncovered during an excavation in Rome, Italy in 1885.
