I’m frequently asked why I share my opinion. For example, several LinkedIn members questioned why I posted about Uber and Rivian, and stated to me that “Uber and Rivian will never partner.”

🤔🤔🤔 Were they right? Should I have deleted my post?

Why do I share my opinions on LinkedIn? This is why:

I thrive on researching emerging opportunities that many companies overlook. True strategy isn’t about predicting the future, it’s about deeply understanding competitive dynamics, anticipating responses, and making moves that position you to win regardless of what rivals do.

I apply game theory to everything I do. I share these insights through articles and LinkedIn posts to demonstrate their logic and viability and to advocate for their implementation.

Three months ago, I publicly recommended that Uber partner with Rivian; today, that exact collaboration has become reality, with a major deal to deploy up to 50,000 autonomous robotaxis.

I share my ideas because they matter.

Uber is an incredibly vulnerable company. Partnering with Rivian is one of many ways that I’ve come up to help Uber be more competitive. However, the partnership with Rivian isn’t enough. Uber has a lot of work to do. ❌
